چکیده
Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the differences in Intraocular Lens (IOL) power keratoconus (KC) eyes between calculations obtained clinically with most commonly used formulas healthy (SRK T, Holladay 1, Hoffer Q and Haigis) as well define predictive factors for such differences. Methods: retrospective comprised 43 of 22 patients no previous ocular surgery. IOL powers were calculated SRK Q, Haigis formulas, considering Effective Position (ELP) each formula desired refraction 0 D (R des =0 D). Results: All statistically significant relevant. always provided higher values compared rest highest observed when comparing (0.84 D) (1.17 formulas. Conclusion: comparable results are by T whereas provides discrepant outcome. consideration curvature second surface may decrease variability calculation methods. Intraocular Lens Power Calculation Using IOLMaster and Various Formulas in Short Eyes
PURPOSE To evaluate the predictability of intraocular lens (IOL) power calculations using the IOLMaster and four different IOL power calculation formulas (Haigis, Hoffer Q, SRK II, and SRK/T) for cataract surgery in eyes with a short axial length (AL). METHODS The present study was a retrospective comparative analysis which included 25 eyes with an AL shorter than 22.0 mm that underwent uneve...
متن کاملcomparison of refractive outcomes of different intraocular lens power calculation formulas in keratoconic patients undergoing phacoemulsification
purpose: in the present study we have tried to find the most reliable intraocular lens (iol) power calculation formula in patients with keratoconus (kcn) and cataract. methods: in a prospective case series between october 2010 and march 2012, eligible patients with cataract and kcn underwent phacoemulsification with iol implantation. preoperatively, based on iol master keratometric data iol pow...
متن کاملAccuracy of Intraocular Lens Power Calculation Formulas for Highly Myopic Eyes.
Purpose. To evaluate and compare the accuracy of different intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation formulas for eyes with an axial length (AL) greater than 26.00 mm. Methods. This study reviewed 407 eyes of 219 patients with AL longer than 26.0 mm. The refractive prediction errors of IOL power calculation formulas (SRK/T, Haigis, Holladay, Hoffer Q, and Barrett Universal II) using User Group f...
متن کاملComparison of Intraocular Pressure of Both Eyes in Patients with Unilateral Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome
Background & Aims: Pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PXS) is a complex disorder which causes an increase in intraocular pressure (IOP). This study was conducted in order to compare IOP of both eyes of patients with unilateral PXS. Methods: In a cross-sectional study from January 2011 to June 2012, 79 patients with unilateral PXS were studied. The patients were examined first with constricted, and the...
متن کاملComparison of intraocular lens power calculation methods in eyes that have undergone laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis.
PURPOSE To compare methods of calculating intraocular lens (IOL) power for cataract surgery in eyes that have undergone myopic laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK). METHODS Eleven eyes of eight patients who had previously undergone myopic LASIK (amount of LASIK correction, -5.50 +/- 2.61 D (SD); range, -8.78 to -2.38 D) and subsequently phacoemulsification with implantation of the SA...
